Hi. My name is Mohammed Amin and I am a graduate from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology & a certificate in Dispute Resolution. I am currently seeking positions in clerical/administrative work and customer service, as I believe my past experiences have prepared me well for it. My experiences lie mainly in the service field, especially with assisting people when it comes to receiving the proper services they may need. My previous positions have allowed me to utilize conflict resolution strategies to respectfully de-escalate situations with irate and disgruntled customers or members of the public. I have also accumulated clerical experience throughout the years from my time as a Student Aide for the NYPD's Traffic Control Division, from doing sales at Home Depot, and from my time as a summer intern for both the Department of Consumer Affairs & the NY Department of Correction. I have also completed various extracurricular and volunteer activities during my time in high school and college, all of which have taught me the importance of connecting to people properly. This served me well for my current career at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), where I have worked as an officer for about two years. During my time in this agency, I have gained quite a few skills here such as interpersonal connections, decision-making, being flexible to work a varied schedule, teamwork, calibrating equipment, conflict resolution, etc. I consider my biggest strengths to be my writing ability, customer service, reliability, and flexibility to solve problems and perform a variety of tasks. I can also navigate Microsoft Office well, and I would consider myself organized and always open to learning more about any workplace environment that I find myself in.
