I value scientific research in the areas of physics, astronomy, and environmental science and strongly value access to technology, data, and information through open source software and hardware initiatives and communal sharing. Over the last few years I have been working on, in no particular order,* Designing and building an experiment in the lab to investigate anisotropic resonant scattering and cosmological sub-radiance. This is done by the detection of the thermal emission of CO gas and by studying its polarization properties in different magnetic environments.* Developing and maintaining open-source software for the spectro-temporal measurements of fast radio bursts (https://github.com/mef51/frbgui)* Discovering and characterizing spectro-temporal relationships in fast radio bursts, leading to multiple journal publications (my PhD research)* Contract work related to the CAD and 3d printing of open source medical devices * Designing and building a prototype for an open hardware atmospheric sensor box Finally, I recognize the long history of exploitation, theft, and violence that has generated the majority of wealth in today's societies and call on myself and others to practice sustainable and nurturing livelihoods.
