Dr. Mohammed Mohamed is a rising ophthalmologist whose journey began at the University of Khartoum, one of Sudan’s top institutions. Early on, he zeroed in on Trachoma Trichiasis Surgery in a region where this disease is common, earning his MD and showing his commitment to stopping preventable blindness. Looking to build on that experience, Dr. Mohamed moved to Ireland to work as an Ophthalmology registrar. There, he got hands-on training in everything from Glaucoma and Pediatric care to Retina surgeries, Cornea treatments, Oculoplastics, and emergency eye cases. Along the way, he proved himself an organized, team-oriented doctor who loved sharing his knowledge with medical students. Recently accepted into the Irish College of Ophthalmologists’ training program, Dr. Mohamed is pushing forward in his mission to improve eye health and reduce blindness. With solid skills, a drive to keep learning, and a real passion for patient care, he’s well on his way to making a lasting impact in ophthalmology.
