About Mohammed Syed

With more then twelve years of integrated experience in accounting, finance, treasury and risk management, I have had the chance to dip into, and successfully be rotated throughout the Accounting and Finance operations team. To begin with, I worked with the accounting department on the ‘nitty-gritty’s of A.P, A.R, GL and Cash accounting functions whilst using SAP. I have also had the unique experience of working jointly with various corporate departments as well; HR (payroll), TQM (quality controls), procurement (invoicing and payments) and the sales department (receivables and trade finance). After several years, I had the opportunity to finally work in the area I most enjoy and am passionate about; treasury and financial risk management. From banking relations to treasury transactions, cash flow analysis and forecasting and from extensive financial analysis/modelling to initial financial risk management, currently leading a massive fire claim as a financial risk consultant, I was/am very fortunate to be granted such critical responsibilities in which I feel I’m very capable and competent in. Lastly, from bankers to brokers and from loss adjustor to external auditors, the past few years have been a professional ride that I’m sure will stand out in my career. Started my career in the petrochemical industry and now have transitioned into the renewables industry, and I intend to pursue my future, professionally and academically in this field of work. I have always been result oriented, big believer in 'hard work' ethic and am always willing to learn and master new assignments/roles and jobs.
