About Mohammed Umar Shaffique

Ever since a young age I have loved completing puzzles from jigsaws to crosswords which cultivated my problem solving nature. This naturally led to me be great at Maths and Computer Science as they can both be seen as puzzles waiting to be completed however while I love Maths, Computer Science had a stronger calling to me as unlike in Maths there are of ways to solve the problem and you are free to take whichever path you want. This led me to program throughout my life from education to my own free time and eventually I graduated with a 2.1 in computer science. I love watching others code and learning their thought process as everyone approaches problems in their own unique way and I hope by understanding their process and I can incorporate into my own to become more efficient myself. Currently I am working in Web Development where I am creating and maintaining apps in Powerapps so that users can access and modify data in a user-friendly and functional way. Furthermore I use HTML to stylise the apps I make to make them more eye-pleasing and to have more control over what I can add to the applications. Also in my own time I experiment with Powerapps to push it to its limit such as creating Snake in Powerapps or a random maze generator. Outside of programming I also love keeping up with the latest in technology as it is always changing with innovations happening daily. My other hobbies include hanging out with friend whether online or not, Tennis, Basketball. I am hoping to find work where I can improve my programming experience to hopefully turn into an expert in the field of computer science and I am always willing to learn and improve.
