About Mohd Umar Shaikh

I am a committed and passionate social worker holding a Master's in Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Mumbai. •With a background in different social initiatives such as youth development, community outreach, education, health and empowerment of marginalized groups, I am determined to initiate sustainable social change. I have worked with esteemed organizations such as Magic Bus India Foundation, Antarang Foundation, Sparsha Charitable Trust, and Aakar Mumbai over the years. •My key strengths involve program implementation, education initiative, children health community service, conducting life skills and career development programs, counseling adolescents, interaction with community families, and community-based support initiatives. •My journey started as a teenager working as a volunteer with UNICEF/BMC's Pulse Polio program an experience that set the tone for my strong dedication towards community service. •I apply excellent people skills, empathy, team work, rapport building and a non-discriminatory practice in all the positions I pursue. I'm currently looking for opportunities to work on meaningful programs in education, poverty alleviation, public health, Corporate social responsibility and sustainable development.
