About Mohit Bhandari

With over 16 years of experience as a bariatric, metabolic, and robotic surgeon, I am a Pro Chancellor at SAIMS UNIVERSITY and a Vice Chairman at Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Science, Indore, one of the largest medical institutions in India. I lead and manage the academic, research, and clinical activities of the institution, ensuring excellence in education, innovation, and patient care.My mission is to provide the best quality of care and outcomes for patients suffering from obesity and related disorders, using the latest technology and techniques. I have performed more than bariatric procedures, including robotic, single incision, and revisions, and I have pioneered several new procedures and protocols, such as banded gastric bypass, mini gastric bypass, and diverted mini gastric bypass. I have also set a record for operating 25 complex and diversified bariatric procedures in 11 hours. I have received multiple awards and honors, such as the Surgeon of Excellence by the Surgical Review Corporation, USA, and I have been invited to conduct live workshops and lectures across the globe. I am passionate about advancing the field of bariatric, metabolic, and robotic surgery through education, research, and collaboration.
