About Mohit Tatineni

I am Mohit Tatineni and I'm from Chennai India. I chose to come to IU because its Kelley School Of Business is one of the most prestigious business schools and is consistently ranked in the top 10. My academic goals include graduating in the fields of Finance and Business Analytics and later planning to finish my master's in data science. I'd like to end up doing Investment Banking or become a Financial Analyst. I'm interested in this field because I love reading and analyzing graphs reading trends and investing in stocks and I've been watching shows like Shark Tank from a very young age which ignited my interest in business. That's why these career fields interest me a lot. Some of the skills I possess are quantitative analysis and comfort with risk. I have used these skills in building up my stock portfolio and managing them on a day-to-day basis. My quantitative analysis has helped me read the different stock indexes like the RSI curve and the MacD curve and analyze the trends of the stocks accurately. This skill of mine has helped me reach the top 10 finalists of an investing competition organized by the Wharton School Of Business. And I'm always willing to take a bit of risk which has helped me invest in hit-or-miss stocks with more comfort and ended up resulting in my favor. These skills will help me a lot to be a financial analyst because the job involves the accurate reading of graphs and will also help me in investment banking as it involves investing in stocks as well as taking a bit of risk at times. As of now apart from using these skills in investing I have joined the Sports Analytics and Business Club where I intend to use these skills to analyze the different stats related to certain sports and predict how a player or a team would perform in a certain season. I also plan to learn more about private equity in the future.
