About Mohsen Farhadloo
I am interested in developing machine learning techniques in order to address challenges in the intersection of computer science and management. My research interests include social media analytics, customer satisfaction, business analytics and sentiment analysis and opinion mining. I am currently focused on analyzing social media and survey data with the application in the public health domain. I received my PhD in EECS working on sentiment analysis and opinion mining from UC Merced. As a researcher with background in machine learning and data mining, I am focused on how organizations and individuals can efficiently utilize the ever-increasing online data in their decision-making processes. In the course of my research I am interested in developing new statistical methods for document modeling and use those models to study customer satisfaction. This will enable us to provide the individuals/organizations with some insights from the customers perspectives which are valuable for both individuals and managers.
