I write to you to share my incredible experience with your SP+ Parking team at the Renaissance Center in Detroit today. I have never, in all my years traveling to hotels around the country and world, experienced a more caring, professional, and dedicated team. You should be very proud of them. Earlier today, on my way back to the hotel, I left my cell phone in my lyft car. I realized this once I got back to my hotel room. Once I realized my mistake I rushed back to the valet and began asking if the driver had come back with my phone. I didn’t have a phone so I could not call lyft or anyone. The first team member I encountered was named Kyra. She began using her personal cell phone to call my phone and to see if the driver would pick up. She kept trying and I was impressed with how nice she was. Very professional. She then told her supervisor Mohsin Kadi. Mason was great. He tried calling again and allowed me to use the office computer to try to contact lyft and the apple iPhone service. He also let me call my office back home so I could let them know. I had to get to the airport in an hour so I knew I didn’t have a lot of time. Mohsin even walked me to the AT & T store in the hotel to see if they could help. They could not. The team offered to mail my phone back if it arrived after I had left. Finally, after about 30 minutes of helping me, Mohsin got a hold of my driver on his phone. My driver came back to the hotel and returned my iPhone. I am amazed at your staff. You have the best team. All of this happened, and they didn’t know that I am also the Mayor of Long Beach, California. I was at the hotel for meetings with other mayors, including the Mayor of Detroit. I told Mohsin at the end, and he was surprised but treated me with respect from the moment I asked for help.
