A results-oriented audit and finance executive with over 20 years of progressive and broad-based international experience with a strong track record of performance in premier global financial institution, Scotiabank, and two big accounting firms, EY and Deloitte. Audit, Consulting, Financial Reporting and Controllership experience with broad and diverse range of accountabilities that include leading audit as well consulting engagements, providing financial expertise, strategic direction, planning and forecasting, building strategic relationship with internal and external parties. Proven core competencies include change leadership, coaching and developing talent, strategic thinking and influencing. Successfully led/co led high-profile enterprise wide initiatives: training of new staff in the firm on audit methodology; training bank wide segment leads on SOX methodology; worked on the implementation of a new enterprise general ledger; and implementation of new accounting framework (IFRS) for all Subsidiaries, and working on finance department’s transformation of newly acquired subsidiary. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to communicate with all levels of management and across all functional areas. Highly skilled in identifying stakeholders' needs, managing their priorities and generating desired results. Engaged in a number of volunteer activities in the community including mentoring and coaching immigrants with finance background. Currently serving on two Not for profit Boards in Toronto.
