I have over 45 years' Sales, Marketing & PR experience working across the African continent, within various management positions and varied media forms. A recent position was a consultancy position, Head of Print, Yellow Pages, a multi-media solutions based company and a subsidiary of Telkom, Have a wide knowledge of media including radio, TV, loyalty programmes & print (newspapers, magazines & directories). I also have a working knowledge of digital marketing, particularly regarding advertisers & users. Currently in the Property Industry : Exp, Momentum International, Ennik Estates, Jawitz & Seeff Properties. Have a passion for sales, innovative products & out-of-the-box solutions. What drives me is inspiring & developing others, pursuit of excellence, in achieving the impossible against the odds. For eight years, I worked at Yellow Pages (formerly known as Trudon/TDS), responsible for a revenue in excess of a Billion Rand and 135 advertisers. During this time, I held three positions: Regional Sales Manager responsible for Gauteng, Pretoria, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, Vaal, North West, & Namibia; Board Director of Namibia TDS, and Print Product Manager, overseeing 23 publications. In 1992, I joined Braby's Directory Company as Regional Sales Manager KZN. Within 18 months I was promoted to the board, & relocated to Gauteng to head up sales. I was later made National Sales Director for SA and SADAC. Left and re-joined in a senior position 2003. Worked in the Tourist Industry for an Overseas company as a VIP-Host, Target Travel based in Italy. For a number of years, I worked in the PR space, dealing with clients, corporates & eventing, to include Horse Racing. Previous experience also includes working at Data Base Marketing, as an Account Executive,Account Director, & then Managing Director for Direct Marketing Data. Having moved to South African in the 1970's, I started my career at Adam's & Company, a stationery and publishing company. Here I was trained in stock management, printing and publishing, Thereafter i joined Walton Stationery as Head Buyer and specialised in training representatives.
