About Mojalefa Thobane
Currently I am a MCR operator at Urban Brew I am risk taker, mad about filmmaking, in love with the camera, love directing and I think there is a writer somewhere in me. I am interested in travelling, meeting and working with new people. I want to see the South African film industry grow beyond what it is right now and I want to be INVOLVED. I want to tell stories that will change people's life and entertain them at the same time. I am an artist, the reflection of our society. I started working in call centers to try and gather funds for studying filmmaking but eventually got accepted at Big Fish school of digital filmmaking in 2012. I clicked the reset button to follow my dreams,after Big Fish I interned with Mnet for Lokshin Bioscope movies as a gaffer and I worked on 3 dramas and one series. I went back to school after that to finish my NQF5 in TV and Film production and operation. It is then I started working for Urban Brew Studios straight from film school. Since then I have worked on projects like South Kitchen Queens,I love South Africa and a number of personal projects. If there are no productions I create my own by doing music videos.
