Hello! I'm Mokhtar Maher, a highly motivated with a Master's degree in Electronic Electrotechnik and Information technology. During my studies, I had the opportunity to work as a trainee at Siemens Healthineers. One notable project involved utilizing my skills in socket programming with Python to enhance communication between individuals and machines. This experience honed my ability to bridge the gap between technology and human interaction. For my Master's thesis, I joined OECHSLER Company in Ansbach, where I delved into the fascinating realm of Deep Reinforcement Learning. Specifically, I focused on Control Design for Mechanical Systems with Sporadic Disturbances, employing the power of DRL techniques. MATLAB programming and Simulink were essential tools in my research, enabling me to develop innovative solutions. Before finishing my studies i was engaged in a research project within the Department of Electrical Energy Systems. Here, I am dedicated to exploring a cutting-edge protection scheme based on supervised Learning. My objective is to achieve maximum dependability and security for power system grids by employing neural networks and python programming language. This endeavor showcases my passion for applying emerging technologies to ensure reliability and efficiency in critical infrastructures. As a Protection Engineer at Siemens Energy, my role involved preparing customer bids, with a focus on planning the protection of various primary components in substations using Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs). I also conducted research and development projects, exploring the feasibility of utilizing digital twins for virtual protection. Additionally, I conducted extensive laboratory tests, including creating test files with Omicron OCC to evaluate relay protection functions. My achievements included successful collaboration on bid preparation, leading research on digital twins, and conducting comprehensive laboratory tests to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of protection systems.
