About Molly Jacobsen

I was a preschool teacher for 16 years working with children and families prior to attending nursing school. In 2009 I began my dream to become a nurse by taking science and math courses at the local community colleges. In June 2012 I received my BSN in Nursing and my dream became a reality. All my hard work came together when I was hired by Arrowhead Regional Medial Center (ARMC) in a full-time RN position that utilizes my skills to care for mothers and babies after deliveries for five years. I worked on the Mother-Baby Unit as an RN II, a Certified Lactation Educator Counselor, and I was nominated to be the Chairperson for The Unit Practice Council Committee for my unit for two years during my tenure with ARMC. In addition, I was recognized by a patient for my compassion in caring for her and her baby. As a result, I was recognized by ARMC and received the Daisy Award for Exceptional Nursing. In 2017 I moved to another specialty of nursing in outpatient pre-op/ PACU. This move has given me broader experiences in a variety of health conditions and surgical procedures, including urology, orthopedic, GI, plastics, spinal surgeries and more. As a pre-op/ PACU RN, I comfort patients in a time that can be filled with fear and anxiety. My goal is to care for the patients with compassion, honesty, dignity, and respect while using my critical thinking skills to enable healing and educate patients.
