I am a trial attorney with a practice focused on individual and mass tort products liability for medical device, automotive, and recreational vehicle manufacturers, serving as national counsel for multiple manufacturers. I have experience developing and implementing defense litigation strategies and discovery practices, especially for mass torts, and am currently serving as lead counsel for a medical device mass tort. I have a deep understanding of complex regulatory issues, and experience that includes deposing plaintiffs' U.S. Food and Drug Administration experts on 510(k) compliance and PMA submissions, developing cross examination themes and outlines, and authoring/arguing briefs to exclude these experts.I have deposed dozens of medical doctors, including plaintiffs' causation experts and treating physicians. I especially enjoy working with causation experts to learn the important facts behind complex theories that helps me analyze the medical records, ask the right questions at fact witness depositions, and find common-sense ways to explain these theories to juries. Finally, there's a special place in my heart for the engineers and inventors on the forefront of innovation; it's been an honor to defend their work and champion their contributions to technological progress.
