About Molly Murphy

I graduated from James Madison University in December of 2018 with a BSN and a Chronic Illness Minor. I now work as an inpatient Oncology Nurse at VCU Health's Massey Cancer Center. Prior to working in oncology nursing, I worked as a Patient Care Technician in general medicine. My interest in oncology was sparked during my last semester as a nursing student. My final clinical experience was with the hematology and oncology population and I was immediately attracted to the holistic approach to patient care and the relational aspects of this type of nursing. As a nurse, I make it my goal to powerfully and positively influence the lives of my patients and their families through skilled nursing interventions and compassionate care. ​I work hard to make my patients feel comfortable and cared for by offering my calming presence and specialized knowledge. I consider it a great privilege to be a nurse!
