I'm a NYC-based literary agent with Root Literary Agency, specializing in children's/YA books. Over the past twenty-one years I have held a variety of roles-marketing, publicity, editorial, executive, and agent-in the children's publishing industry. I care deeply about stories, storytelling, and the creative process surrounding readers and creators. My career has spanned print to platform, has resulted in multiple #1 New York Times bestsellers, books-turned-movies, and has always been focused on the conception, creation, and distribution of original content for children and young adults. Innovation and early stages-of franchises, of companies, of careers, and of creativity-fascinate me, as does the pursuit of fresh voices and the uncovering of new ideas.
