About Mona Gandhi

Dr. Gandhi earned a bachelor of science in Pharmacy at the Rutgers University College of Pharmacy and her doctor of pharmacy at the University of Florida. She is currently the director of the Drug Information Center and an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice Administration at the St. John Fisher College Wegmans School of Pharmacy. Prior to joining the faculty in 2008, Dr. Gandhi performed numerous roles in medical information in pharmaceutical industry including directing a drug information residency. Dr. Gandhi’s primary teaching responsibilities are concentrated around the discipline of drug information. She serves as both the course coordinator and lead instructor in two mandatory courses within the Pharm.D. curriculum: Drug Information and Literature Evaluation. Her effectiveness in areas of drug information and information literacy was acknowledged in September 2015 as the recipient of the Dr. Mark Szarejko Faculty Information Literacy Award. In addition to her specialized training in drug information, Dr. Gandhi’s interests also include women’s health issues, specifically medication use during breastfeeding and infertility therapies. Dr. Gandhi also serves as an invited peer reviewer for several pharmaceutical and medical journals including the Journal of Human Lactation, Journal of Family Practice, American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education, and Journal of Pharmacy Practice.
