About Monaami Pal

As a UX Researcher at Purdue University, I work under Professor Rua Williams, who leads projects leveraging theory, methods, and practice from multiple disciplines, for example: Science & Technology Studies, Disability Studies, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, and Media Studies. I apply my skills in Figma, product research, and attention to detail to create user-friendly and accessible interfaces and experiences. I pursued my Master of Science degree in Computer Graphics Technology - UX Design, where I learn the latest theories and practices in human-computer interaction, user-centered design, and usability evaluation. I have a background in Computer Engineering and graphic design, which gives me a solid foundation in both technical and creative aspects of UX. I have worked as a graphic designer and UI/UX designer for Savoir Communications and Diem Chocolates & Confectionery, where I handled various design projects and photography shoots for clients. I have also earned multiple certifications in graphic design, camera control, and creative writing from Coursera, which demonstrate my passion for learning and improving my craft. UX Design and UX Research are more than just my career goals; they are my passions. I love how they merge creativity with solving real world problems, and how they empower users to interact with technology in meaningful and enjoyable ways. I am always eager to take on new challenges and opportunities to grow as a UX professional and researcher. I am seeking a full-time UX design and research role where I can apply my skills, knowledge, and enthusiasm to create impactful and innovative solutions.
