About Monaf Rafi

With over 14 years of experience in accounting and auditing, I am a passionate and results-oriented finance manager with a proven track record of delivering high-quality financial reports and statements, designing and implementing effective accounting systems and controls, and managing complex projects and budgets. As a finance manager at Falcon Group, a leading conglomerate in Iraq, I oversee the daily activities of the accounting department and ensure that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time. I am motivated by the mission of Falcon Group to provide diversified and innovative solutions that create value for its customers, partners, and stakeholders. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have worked in different industries and countries, and have a master's degree in quality management systems and a Syrian Certified Public Accountant (SCPA) certification. In my current role, I perform full set of accounts and perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring, and controls. I also prepare interim/annual financial statements according to IFRS and submit them for review and approval. I provide the external auditors with the audit requirements, inquiries, supporting documents, and follow up the audit process. I develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting policies and procedures. I use my analytical skills, financial accounting knowledge, and financial systems design expertise to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in the accounting operations. I also supervise, train, and mentor the accounting staff and foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
