About Monday Huang

We fear the future because we are wasting today. When I was playing hide-and-seek in Tai Shan, a small town in Mainland China, I never think about moving to another place. After I spent 14 years in my hometown, I came to Hong Kong, which was definitely a new environment for me at that time. It’s never been easy to fit in the swing of things, so I endeavoured to adapt to the new school life as well as the living condition within a few months. Despite the difficulties of adjusting to my fresh start, I was still excited to meet new friends and face new surroundings. Those changes made me become a more adaptive person and I learnt about effective time management to plan things ahead. Changes are not terrible, terrible is completely not changed in this diversified environment. I have a lot of enthusiasm for sports, especially volleyball. Those thrilling moments engaged me a lot. I love team building and the exciting team spirit because everybody can gel together. Being a leader of the school volleyball team, I learnt to be a good team player and I understand that teamwork is very important to succeed. Moving to Hong Kong, I came across a new subject called BAFS, which is related to accounting and finance, and I found my interest in those numbers in financial statements. My enthusiasm shifted to the accounting filed and I grasped the chance to become the chief financial officer of school stall at the Lunar New Year Eve Fair. Of course, this 5-day memorable experience fascinated me a lot. Not only did the role give me a taste of accounting service sector, but it also encouraged me to move forward to be an accountant. Finally, I stepped into CUHK and chose Accounting as my major. I indeed realize accounting sector is an endless process of learning, but I am still passionate about pursuing my career in this field because I am keen on learning new things. Due to my family, I chose to move to Hong Kong; due to this choice, I seized the chance of joining various activities and exploring more chances; due to those chances, I could become a better person.
