About Monica Gurule

I am an experienced youth development professional and operations manager with over two decades of leadership in creating, improving, and scaling programs that support young people’s growth, resilience, and long-term success. My career began in 2001 with the South Valley Boys & Girls Club, eventually leading me to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salt Lake, where I held progressive leadership roles—including School Age and Early Childhood Program Director at the Sugar House Club. Throughout my career, I have built a reputation for driving results through strong team leadership, program innovation, and operational excellence. I bring deep experience in staff management, strategic planning, compliance, grant reporting, and data-informed decision-making. I have successfully facilitated, implemented, and managed grant-funded programs, ensuring alignment with funder expectations and meaningful impact in the communities we serve. My passion for systems-level change led me to the Children’s Service Society of Utah, where I joined the Employer Child Care Start-Up Grant team. There, I helped design, launch, and manage a grant distributing federal Child Care and Development Discretionary Funds to support providers and help employers offer quality child care solutions for working families. In 2024, I returned to my roots as Club Director of the Spence Eccles Boys & Girls Club. Leading a dynamic team in a diverse and evolving community, I remain committed to building inclusive, high-impact programs that empower youth, support families, and create long-lasting community outcomes.
