About Monica Jimenez

I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelors Degree in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. Prior to starting pharmacy school, I volunteered at Baptist Hospital which is where my interest in this profession began. I would restock shelves, shadow various pharmacists, learn about new patient centered innovations, and understand the importance of being a pharmacist. During my last year of pharmacy school, I focused on gaining more knowledge by mostly choosing hospital rotations. I continued most of my rotations at Baptist hospital. I was able to acquire a stronger knowledge base of treatments, disease states, and counseling tactics. Now working for Walgreens, I am able to use my knowledge to help individuals. I enjoy being positive, medication therapy management, counseling and being someone patients can rely on.
