She values the human-centered development of Artificial Intelligence in the field of health care. ACADEMIC RESEARCH INTERESTS: Artificial Intelligence for Health from the perspective of the social sciences. Ai and Governance; Human-Machine Interaction in the context of Social Robotics for Connected Living; Wearable and Implantable tech, Telemedicine; New Media Literacy and e-learning in the context of the Digital Transformation. More specifically: Voice-based Assistive Technology for disability, the Internet of Things (IoT, IoE). Critical approaches to Algorithms design, Big Data Analytics, Security, Privacy, Social Media platforms; Interdigital Theory for new media, Policy for Public Health; Digital culture, Cultural heritage, and Art 4.0. In the last twenty years, Prof. Murero has been doing extensive research, professional consulting, and academic teaching in six countries. She researches the controversial effects of innovation upon human behavior and their steady encroachment into crucial aspects of everyday life since the '90s. Monica Murero is the author of 8 books and several academic articles in peer-reviewed international journals.
