I am a sales and marketing professional with 15 plus years of experience, having worked across Retail, FMCG and Financial Services. In my last stint, I headed the Marketing & PR function for Bestseller (Danish Fast Fashion Retailer) India, managing a portfolio of 6 brands across 7 channels. This included creating and executing an end-to-end Marketing plan, developing content with both a channel and format focus aimed at increasing Brand Equity and driving sales and profitability. The business was also at a juncture where focus on bottom-line had come to the fore and ensuring increased ROI through marketing efficiency was critical. I had 2 strong years, delivering both on business results and brand health versus competition, across all brands. Prior to Bestseller I worked with Unilever India for 10 years. The most recent of those stints was kick starting and leading the Customer Insight and Innovation Centre (CiiC) for India, one in 7 for Unilever Globally. I worked across all categories using shopper insights to improve launch mixes for consumers and channel partners - driving better collaboration and retailer engagement towards greater launch success. Prior to this I worked with the Unilever Institutional Foods business, leading product Innovation and managing the International Chains Accounts business. I started at Unilever managing key accounts in the premium beauty and skin care business. Currently I’m consulting a Canadian Online insurance Broker - PolicyAdvisor, that is looking to expand in SEA. On the personal front, I am married to Pavanjit Singh Bedi, who works at Unilever. We have two daughters, Anaya aged 13 and Raina who is 8. I have a passion for Arts which I honed during my Mass Communications and Film Production years. I love the creative aspects in every kind of job, and most recently through bringing alive in-store activation. Reading, cinema, photography, theatre and travel are some of my other keen interests.
