In my current role, I’m creating sustainable food processes that enhance the nutritional, economic, social and environmental health of communities impacted by hunger. I work at the intersection of food and health, helping to improve health conditions through equitable access to proper food and nutrition. For more than 15 years, I created food education programs for youth that are innovative and sustainable and that embrace food as a right that is central to the human experience. As a culinary and food systems professional, I’m committed to increasing understanding of the value of making nutritious food choices and empowering others with the opportunities to do so. I am a chef by formal training and apprenticeship, who grew to understand that true food is truly powerful. I believe it has the power to root, connect and heal communities.
