Beginning my career as a 911 dispatcher, I advanced through roles as a trainer, specialist in charge, and now supervisor. My journey was inspired by early experiences sitting beside a police scanner with my dad, decoding 10 codes, and listening to dispatch stories. These moments sparked a lifelong passion for public safety and emergency response. My commitment to continuous learning and professional development has been instrumental in my career progression. Attending the Citizen's Fire Academy provided me with a deeper understanding of the precision, teamwork, and leadership required in emergency response, solidifying my interest in becoming a dispatcher. Over the years, I have honed my leadership skills, focusing on effective communication, team management, and conflict resolution. These skills are not only essential in public safety but also highly transferable to various industries, including corporate management, training and development, and operational oversight. Currently serving as a 911 public safety supervisor, I am focused on furthering my expertise and preparing for future opportunities in management.
