Life Experiences: • In 2015, Monifa fulfilled a life-long dream to travel the world. With only a carry-on sized backpack, she began her "gap year" journey of cultural immersion in Southeast Asia (Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia), Malaysia, and Australia. • During her travels, she volunteered at an elephant retirement camp and animal welfare center, taught English, and leveraged her professional background and expertise to help students, professionals, and small businesses with their digital marketing needs. Her experience increased her cultural competency and ability to connect and relate to others.
