About Monique Bulette

Monique Bulette is a pediatric physical therapist and certified breastfeeding specialist with a passion for helping infants and moms who are struggling with breastfeeding due to musculoskeletal or neurodevelopmental concerns. I graduated from George Washington University with Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2018. For the past four years, I have been working at Children’s Hospital helping sick and injured children return home after a hospitalization. Last July, I become a mom to the most amazing little buddha belly. We had difficulty initiating breastfeeding with some common problems including low blood sugar, poor temperature regulation, tongue and lip ties, and inability to efficiently latch or transfer milk. We spiraled into a world filled with exhausting triple feeds, obsessive tracking of every ounce, weighted feeds, nipple shields, tongue tie release procedures, oversupply, and awful colic. We sought help from our pediatrician, lactation consultants, chiropractors, allergists, pediatric dentists. Honestly, I was not in a good place. Feeding my baby occupied all of my energy. Despite the amazing support from my postpartum team, I kept feeling like I was missing a critical piece of the puzzle. As the postpartum fog lifted, I began to reflect on my experience as a pediatric physical therapist and I threw myself into learning physical therapy interventions that can help the breastfeeding dyad and became a certified breastfeeding specialist. Now, I want to share what I learned with my community and help other families reach their goals.
