Monique Maree is a director in ENSafrica’s corporate commercial department, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, with a particular focus on transactions into Africa. Monique has experience in all aspects of M&A work, including transaction structuring advice, conducting and managing due diligence investigations, contract drafting and negotiation, regulatory advice and engagement, and managing the fulfilment of transaction conditions and implementation.In managing cross-border M&A transactions, Monique gained significant experience in working with local counsel in various jurisdictions across Africa and further afield.She also advises on general corporate issues, including corporate governance and locally in relation to queries on the South African Companies Act, 2008. Her clients include local and foreign entities, listed and unlisted entities and private equity funds.
