I am a PhD Candidate, Ford Predoctoral Fellow, and Sloan Foundation Scholar pursuing a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology with Dr. Maren Vitousek and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. My scientific research focuses on the drivers, development, function and evolution of iridescent plumage in birds. My research interests include animal communication, behavioral ecology, physiology, and endocrinology. I am passionate about science education with emphasis on informal science education in museums.
