Background

About Monokesh Sen

I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering from Islamic University in Kushtia, Bangladesh. With a keen interest in pursuing advanced studies abroad, I applied for scholarships and was fortunate to receive fully funded offers from four Australian universities and one New Zealand university. Subsequently, I enrolled in a PhD program at Western Sydney University, where I completed my doctoral studies in 2021. During my PhD, I concentrated on enhancing animal models of multiple sclerosis (MS), a demyelinating disorder affecting the human central nervous system. Following the submission of my doctoral thesis, I served as a Visiting Scientist at the St. Vincent Centre for Applied Medical Research (UNSW Sydney). Presently, I am employed as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Charles Perkins Centre of The University of Sydney, where my focus lies on various clinical and preclinical aspects of MS.
