25+ years of experience in Supervisory and Project Engineering Support with emphasis on Piping Design and AutoCAD Tech Support, which includes Lisp programming for AutoCAD customization and standardization. Majority of work has been on assignment as a seconded contractor at various client’s facilities with emphasis on piping and civil design on numerous projects at petrochemical plants. The recent Design Supervisor position was a direct position with my most recent former client after being a seconded contractor for 9 years with them. The following is a summary of the Design Supervisor responsibilities: • Coordinate and distribute daily work assignments and monitor project design completion for staff. • Facilitate Project Kick-off including designer project assignment and resource coordination. • Expedite Project Engineer requests for designer assignments and provide oversight. • Monitor designer output quantity and quality, coordinate inter-facility work assignments, oversee contract personnel hours, verify timesheets and cost center billing data, expedite service requests from external departments. • Facilitate production of requested presentation graphics and manage special Design Services projects (aerial photos, surveys, etc.). • Maintain and improve the Design Procedures Manual; facilitate staff compliance with Federal, State and local regulations and monitor adherence to facility and industry standards. • Assist in maintenance and improvement of the Refinery Engineering Standards. • Developed a procedure for acquiring the required permits from Contra Costa County for Building, Electrical, and Grading. CAD Manager and Technical Support • Managed and provided Tech Support for multiple AutoCAD workstations. • Supervised and assisted in the development of documentation procedures and guidelines for CAD including menus, templates, supporting lisp routines, drawing standards. • Developed macros using Lisp programming for AutoCAD customization of menus for easier workflow. • Developed macros using Lisp programming to extract data from Process Safety Information documents (P & IDs, PFDs, Plot Plans) for EDMS. The data collected was also used to verify and reconcile equipment records for Reliability, Maintenance and Operations. Piping Design Developed Process Flow Diagrams; P & IDs; equipment layouts; piping plans, sections, and isometrics; pipe supports; pipeline mapping. Surveying Pipeline, plant layout, establishing monuments, equipment location (new and existing), concrete form checkout, and sewer and water line layout.
