In my current role, I'm responsible for credentialing data needed for onboarding, contracting, and other related purposes. Credentialing data includes but is not limited to the medical degree, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) number, CDS, state licenses, Board certifications, CV, malpractice insurance etc.Works closely with providers to obtain the necessary documentation pertaining to the onboarding and application process. Obtains required provider signatures and follows up with the entities on documentation submitted.Prefill forms and support providers with completion of applications and credentialing paperwork.Track status of applications, follow up as necessary and document activity in an accurate and timely manner.Advises management team of any potential delays in a providers’ credentialing and works with operations staff in resolving issues.Review provider credentialing files and work with providers to obtain the necessary missing, incomplete, and expiring items.Works with our licensing and billing vendors to complete provider enrollment.Ensures that applications are properly verified and accurately filed in our internal systems.Report out licensing and credentialing status such as start times, pending items, completed and cancelled items to measure effectiveness and ensure appropriate prioritization across the process.
