About Moody Schoolar

I am a UX/UI Designer looking to create beautiful designs that are friendly, inviting, and user friendly for everyone. I took part in the UX/UI Foundations course through Avocademy and learned a lot about user centered design! I designed a mobile application "ThingsToDo" to help users find new events and things happening around them locally. Check it out in my portfolio here: https://uxfol.io/dbb2dd4e I have worked 6 years in the education industry as a High School Band Director. I taught grades 6-12 between 3 campuses in the cluster, developing a curriculum and program for students age 11 through 18. I was involved in the logistics of our marching band, dealing with scheduling, transportation, and budgeting for the percussion program. I helped with the design of our marching band shows, and our new uniforms from the 2022 season. Between school years I also worked as the Operations Manager for the Boston Crusaders in 2018-2020. I was involved with logistics for the transportation fleet, communications to the membership and performers, helped facilitate resource shipments, and managed the day to day site issues for the membership and staff of the Crusaders. The Boston Crusaders are an organization affiliated with Drum Corps International and have been World Class finalists in the DCI World Championships for over 30 years. I am proficient in Figma, Invision, Photoshop, and Balsamiq. I have started to learn JavaScript and other coding languages to help my designs in the developer handoff and to make myself more well rounded for a UX/UI team.
