About Moose Liu

Hello there, I am Moose, born in Tongling, a city in Anhui Province in China mainland. I have been working as a Java backend engineer for about 6 years. In December 2015, I finished my study in MSc IT from the University of Glasgow as a postgraduate. Since then, I have worked for companies like DELL EMC, WEWORK and PayPal. By working along with so many talented and excellent engineers in those world-class companies, I grew fast and could help younger engineers on their work. Internet changes so fast in recent years, it is important to keep myself skills up-to-date, so now I not only have experiences in Java and backend frameworks, but also, I’m experienced in databases and NoSQL systems. To support various businesses in different industries, I also have experiences in middle-wares like caching system, message queue, etc. Moreover, to understand the whole product delivery process, I have experiences in the modern CI/CD process, including packaging, testing and deploying services. Meanwhile, I have some experiences in front end languages, to help integrate with front end businesses. After those years development in the industry, one same thing that is not changed is that I very much enjoy the fulfillments of achieving goals and delivering products by overcoming difficulties in different projects, especially during the development process. Besides, I am a patient person with aspirations. In 2013 when I was in university, I led a team with four teammates and won the fourth place in the contest of "The Creative Marketing Contest" held by Lenovo in Anhui, China. I love making new friends and talking with people, I play drums and jog in my spare time, I always believe that “a good health could help deliver product in a more efficient and creative way“. Currently, I am a senior Software Engineer and the team lead at PayPal in Shanghai, China. Thanks for reading my profile-) Jia
