About Morag Fitzsimons

Having worked in the Workers' Compensation Industry for 31 years, I've seen great change in the manner in which we assist injured and ill people in our workforces. As a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and through my Masters in Management (Personal Injury), my focus has broadened to the challenge facing businesses to maintain levels of workforce participation which ensures profitability and viability through producing goods and providing services across their customer base. This becomes increasing challenging as our working populations age but our methods of work don't necessarily change to accommodate this. Experienced in working with the financial, aged care, distribution, construction, manufacturing and government sectors the challenges differ in each situation and the solutions, whilst similar in intent, need to be designed to meet the bespoke needs of each organisation. From the creation of management systems to manage illness and injury, whether work related or chronic conditions, or bespoke programmes to meet the needs of a mature workforce, my goal is to help businesses flourish and continue to employ Australians who are engaged and present at their workplace.
