About Morgan Ashley

With over 10 years of experience in the broadcast media industry, I am a passionate and versatile anchor, reporter, and producer who strives to deliver accurate, engaging, and impactful news stories to the audiences. I am currently an Evening News Anchor at KHQ-TV, where I report, produce, and anchor on multiple platforms, including TV, web, and social media. I am committed to upholding the highest standards of journalistic integrity and ethics, and to serving the community with compassion and empathy. As an Evening News Anchor at KHQ-TV, I solo anchor and report on NonStop Local at 5/6/6:30pm, Fox First at 10 and NonStop Local at 11pm. I also produce and anchor daily digital news updates. I am proficient and comfortable ad-libbing through breaking news and live television scenarios. I’m often tapped to mentor young journalists through story and show development. I serve as a board member of Watson's Paws for the Cause, a nonprofit organization that provides shelter, medical support, and behavioral assistance to animals in need. I have been nominated for two regional Emmy awards. One for producing breaking news coverage of a rare tornado just outside of the Seattle market in 2019 and another for anchoring statewide coverage on a college football rivalry game in Montana in 2021. During my time in public relations our team won a Ragan PR Daily's Nonprofit PR Award for my crisis communications campaign in 2020. I have developed skills in online journalism, digital journalism, and video journalism, and I am always eager to learn new technologies and techniques to enhance my storytelling.
