About Morgan Bourgeois

I am a Therapeutic Recreation graduate from Grand Valley State University. During my time at Grand Valley, I have had to opportunities to develop my leadership skills and my passion for working in a helping profession. Throughout volunteer and hands-on experiences at Grand Valley, I have been able to see how Recreational Therapy applies in real-word settings. I have gained the skills of time management, adaptability, teamwork, and problem-solving. My passion is working with at-risk youth and helping kids find their passions and worth in the world. I continued my education in a non-licensure M.A. in Human Services Counseling program with an emphasis in Parent & Child/Adolescent in order to combine my desire to work as a CTRS with a richer understanding of psychology, development, and counseling and graduated in May 2020. My biggest career goal is to bring Recreational Therapy into schools. I look forward to the future and working as a Recreational Therapist.
