About Morgan Cox

My name is Morgan Cox, and my mission is to design and build the future of mining. I am a graduate mining engineer and mining technologist with over 10 years experience in mining, mineral exploration, and investment. As a Meyers-Briggs INTJ, I see the big the picture. I ask lots of questions and I do lots of thinking. I love finding innovative solutions to complex problems. I love learning and sharing knowledge. I hate waste and inefficiencies. I am highly productive when working alone, and I thrive when working with diverse teams on challenging projects. The mines of the future will be discovered and developed using novel and re-purposed multi-disciplinary technologies to effectively, efficiently, and economically locate and extract resources while addressing environmental, social and governance (ESG) based values and UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). I am well versed in tailings operation and management. I have built dams, ditches, haul roads and pipelines at -35 C. I have analyzed drill core and soil samples by XRF in a remote camp. I set-up a geotechnical laboratory and tailings pipe thickness monitoring program at a tpd copper mine in northern BC. I permitted an exploration project in NFLD. I defined markets, customers, and projects for a mining technology startup, my data supported a $21M Series A round. I read, write, analyze, and summarize NI 43-101-level technical reports and I invest in mining technology companies and projects. I do my best to fail forward, and to learn and grow whenever the opportunity is presented. I do not give up easily when I encounter challenges. I am a strong communicator with high emotional intelligence. My interests are discovery and development, emerging technologies, project valuation, resource estimation, data analysis, technical reports, mine design, and strategic planning.
