About Morgan Jerrick

Morgan Jerrick is a public affairs and strategic communications professional with experience in public health, drug communications, and regulated industries. She understands and navigates the complex issues before the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and manages communications through the integration of science, policy, regulations and politics. Her experience includes progressively responsible positions at the FDA, where she is the Deputy Director for the Office of Communications in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. She serves as the principal advisor to the office director, which includes leading a diverse organization with responsibility for public affairs, stakeholder engagement, digital/online content, internal engagement, and educational outreach. She provides administrative direction for the office’s $28 million payroll and operating budgets and leadership direction for three cross-functional divisions comprised of over 100 staff including scientific, professional, technical, administrative, and clerical personnel. She manages the center’s integrated health communications with creativity and innovation and works across various offices and centers to achieve agency priorities. She addresses challenges from various angles through collaboration and leadership and has cultivated relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups.
