About Morgan Koncel

This is my 14th year in education. As a young teacher, I taught third and first grade before getting degrees as a reading specialist and a English learning teacher. After completing my EL endorsement, I was able to use those skills teaching small group EL instruction to third - fifth graders. Getting to know these students, their families, and learning how to support them in and out of the classroom has become my passion. In my current role as EL coordinator for our district, I am able to create meaningful curriculum, provide resources to teachers and families, and involve families in their students' learning. As coordinator of grants for my district, I am able to use my experiences in the classroom to accurately write and manage all federal and local grants to fully maximize the resources available to all students.
