About Morgan Marin

When I started considering switching my major from Exercise Science, I asked myself, “what would I be doing if I never had to work a day in my life?” For me, Nonprofit Management is the activity that I will never work a day in my life to do. Nonprofit Management is my perfect combination of passions. It allows me to be creative, never doing the same thing twice. Nonprofit Management is also a science where you learn how others are affected by your decisions and interactions, and I am sure to leave every coworker with a positive experience. Due to the nature of nonprofits, I practice my love for mathematics by balancing budgets for organizations. The fundraising and donor management aspects of nonprofit work allow me to be sociable with others, creating lasting relationships. This passion of mine has given me some of the most irreplicable, invaluable opportunities. I have developed a love for working with people with disabilities through my role as the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania’s Western Fall Sectional Event Director. I have also gotten to work hands on in the programming and event planning side of nonprofits, during my role as President at Slippery Rock University’s Rotaract Club. Through my academics, I have created the structure of my very own nonprofit organization, I have developed a fundraising campaign, designed a sponsorship and in-kind donation implementation package, and researched population demographics for the development of strategies to fight against the opioid and addiction epidemic in Butler County, Pennsylvania. After four years of education and transitioning to the workplace, I am eager to expand my skills working with all my passions. While most people take years to find something, they are truly passionate about, I am grateful to say that I have found the nonprofit sector at such an early stage in my career and it is truly one of my greatest passions of all.
