About Morgan Murphy

I am a passionate environmentalist with hopes of making long-term positive impacts in the field of conservation using interpersonal skills, an outdoorsy lifestyle, and knowledge on DEIJ (diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice) issues. Throughout my natural resources degree, I have learned about how people interact with their environments and developed skills including community engagement, environmental communication, and the process of the open standards of conservation planning to ensure environmental and social wellbeing. I firmly believe that 1) our natural environment has intrinsic and instrumental values and 2) that every person being impacted by environmental issues or conservation strategies deserves to have their unique perspectives heard. These beliefs will guide me in my career, volunteer work, and my personal lifestyle as a conservationist and social scientist.
