As an Head of Logistics department within the Direction Navy Logistics & Support (DNLS), I have always been open and fully committed to both operational support and supply chain functions. After my master's degree in the Royal Military Academy, I became Head of BC 452 (Bureau Comptabilité) at Zeebrugge as a young lieutenant. For 4 years I was at the service of the fleet and all campaigns were meticulously prepared and accounted for financially. Afterwards I was given the opportunity to sail as log offr aboard the frigate Leopold I and also became Unit Commander during the IP (Maintenance Program) in DEN HELDER. After 3 years as a procurement officer, I had completed all aspects of the procurement cycle, as a result I was promoted to head of section programs and was tasked with completing the binational procurement of the 12 new mine action vessels. This assignment required the cumulative effort of all Material Resource sections and was an unprecedented procurement challenge due to its complexity and scope. After the successful completion of this government contract, I was placed for 1 year as HLD (Chief Logistics Officer) aboard the operational frigate Leopold 1 where I successfully completed the preparation and execution of 2 operations at the log and fin level. After entering the ship in full Corona pandemic, I was designated as N4/N8 of the BE fleet. As Log and Fin officer branch 4 & 8, I am the point of contact for all operational logistical and financial matters of the fleet.
