About Morgan Smith

Hi, I’m Morgan - born and raised Calgarian and visual media nomad. I graduated from Alberta University of the Arts in 2015 with a Bachelor of Visual Communications Design. Here I discovered a love of logo development and writing copy before heading to Vancouver for a more rounded understanding of commercial production. While attending film school, I freelanced as a graphic designer and spent time on various independent projects. After my period of work and study in BC, I returned to make Calgary my home base and continue developing my portfolio. My diverse media experience has allowed me to wear many hats over the years. I have had the privilege of gaining knowledge of all the moving pieces involved in crafting a branded message for your project or company. In my professional years, I have been fortunate to create a multitude of logos, streamline corporate documents, direct photoshoots, write and voice commercial advertisements, as well as be involved in many collaborative processes that marry the corporate with the creative. My favorite part my job is solving the “puzzle” of how best to communicate the message, whether it’s with a single image or concise combination of words.
