About Morgan Strong

I am looking to find a Clinical Fellowship in the Speech Language Pathology Field in Greensboro, North Carolina or the surrounding area. I graduated from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2013, with a double major in Communication Studies and Communication Sciences and Disorders. During a break from school, between December and August, I worked at Ashley Collin’s State Farm in Greensboro, NC. While at Ashley Collin’s State Farm, I sold Automobile and Homeowner’s Insurance. I am currently in Graduate School at North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC obtaining my Master’s Degree in Education, with a concentration in Communication Sciences and Disorders. While at North Carolina Central, I have worked in a variety of different clinical settings. During my first semester at North Carolina Central, I worked as a Graduate Clinician in the Neurogenic Aphasia Clinic Group (NAG). In this clinical setting, I worked with an assortment of patients with strokes and their resulting Aphasia’s. In addition to working in a clinical adult setting, I also worked as a Graduate Clinician at Healthy Start Academy. Healthy Start Academy is a Charter School in downtown Durham, NC. Healthy Start Academy services children from Kindergarten to Eighth Grade. The children that I worked with in this setting ranged from 6 years old to 13 years old. I assessed, evaluated, planned, and conducted individualized therapy focusing on speech and language goals. Currently, I am in my first (of two) offsite practicum placements. This semester I have been placed at Morehead Elementary Magnet School within Guilford County Schools. In this setting, I work with a variety of school-aged children with a variety of Speech and Language goals. This offsite placement has given me the ability to implement effective treatment independently while receiving the needed guidance and feedback to hone my professional skills.
