About Morgan Tharpe

In my former position as In-House Counsel, my expertise included a broad range of corporate, distributor and product compliance; which also included trademark registration (US and Foreign Jurisdictions) and monitoring taxing nexus for the company. Additionally, I advised the executive staff on developing and implementing various policies and procedures for the company. My other expertise was drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial, corporate, including but not limited to: non-disclosure agreements, exclusive rights agreements, vendor agreements, partnership agreements, independent contractor agreements, waivers and release agreements. As a result of this experience, my skills were honed in managing and analyzing legal risks and issues associated with complex deals and transactions. My colleagues would describe me as the "Mother Bear" that made sure the company was protected and in compliance; a people person whom was fair but firm. My actions are governed by the belief that in all situations legal decisions must be made within the context of larger business constraints. Throughout my career, I have strived to keep business issues in the forefront, as an advocate on a contested matter or as the negotiator for a mutually beneficial commercial endeavor, allocating resources and prioritizing tasks to meet strategic objectives.
