About Moriah Norman

At sixteen I started my first job at Starbucks. My manager had never hired anyone under eighteen, but after months of persistence she agreed to give me a shot. Although I was the youngest employee, I quickly gained respect based on my leadership and initiative. I worked there for 2 years which put me at the longest standing female in the store. This experience kicked off my skill set to prioritize pursuing a work-life balance. Although this became difficult in college as a full-time student with 3 jobs, I still maintained a social life, a high gpa, and pursued my passions such as travel, art, fashion, and literature. I believe that the best employee is someone with passion and inspiration inside and outside of the office. This allows them to bring fresh perspectives and innovative thinking to their work and continue to return refreshed. Lucky for me, I have a lot of the same interests between work and life. I loved studying technology at Indiana University as the first and number one institution in the nation for Informatics. Informatics allowed me to explore how technology interacts with the world in multiple facets. More specifically, I got to look at how technology influences business, art and society. In my current role, I am exploring how technology influences business, process, integrity, and security. I hope to continue to grow in my career as I grow in life and to always remain learning.
